'Blà Bheinn' blanket scarf

'Blà Bheinn' blanket scarf

£190.00

This generously sized scarf is handwoven in the softest merino lambswool, (non mulesing) using a small waffle weave pattern. The three-dimensional textured finish from the waffle weave makes it super warm as it traps body heat and forms a warm layer next to the skin - perfect for wearing in colder weather or cosying up next to the fire with!

The scarf is inspired by the colours of Skye in late Autumn and Winter and in particular the wonderful photographs of Blà Bheinn taken by Matt Deamer. Blà Bheinn (which translates from Gaelic as the Blue Mountain) is a magnificent mountain, just outside of the iconic Cuillin ridge.

The two short edges are both hemstitched by hand and the long edges have selvedges, rather than a cut edge.

100% merino lambswool (non mulesing)

it measures approximately 70cm x 200cm (excluding fringe)

Designed and handwoven by Maggie MacLean at Ellishadder, Isle of Skye.

Please hand wash or dry-clean (see separate care instructions for detailed instructions)
